There are about 30 contributions to this thread so far and probably over a thousand words, yet one word that surprisingly has not appeared anywhere is "respect". Well as for me I am doing great. I just started day trading a few months ago with my 401k and am doing awesome. By the end of the year I will increase it by 50%. I only wish I would have taken the risk 10 years sooner of day trading. All I can tell you is to check the oil stocks. I've made a killing with PDO and CLR. There's also Exxon and you can also look at gas stocks as well. But like anything, I treat this as a full time job. Oil has been very volatile and you have to know when to buy and when to sell to maximize your profits. On some days like today, I made an easy $800 in the first 20 minutes the market opened with PDO. Just check out what this stock did today for starters.

Actually none. I'm not close to being 60 yrs old. NOT even close. And besides its in my 401K. I would get penalized too much to pull any of it out before being 60. All I can do is keep growing my nest egg and at the rate I'm going at now, it will be around $5 MILLION by the time I'm around 60.

5 mil by 60? not bad. hope u have more to go on then just ur 401 k. 1 mil dollars isnt what it used to be. i suggest getting a financial planner. no need to make any comparisons, but since i got a planner i can now retire by 50 getting 6 figures until im 80, and my kids education taken care for (but still hoping they get scholarships). had to make some sacrifices with lifestyle now. for example, driving a toyota camry instead of a bmw, shopping at target instead of bloomingdales, but at least i can travel outside the country 4 wks out of the year. fortunately i started young, got a job where i can put enough or max out 401k, vul's, mutual funds, my govt tsp, and annunities, etc. word of advice to young folks out there, start saving early. its ok to have some fun every now and then, but look ahead.

Never 100%. For now stay liquid. If you really want bonds look closely at the company's markets, go for companies that have a proven track record in volatile downturns. Now is the time to be a wise trader and not a lazy investor. Good luck.

Well, trust is important, and to say that the end justifies the means is not a very good rationale. I think a better way to put it is that his spider-sense was tingling so he knew that there was danger and turned out to be right. I feel sorry for the member that felt hurt. There's good comments on both sides of the fence (for member and also for the host). As has been pointed out, this is a cyber site and many members come here for a fantasy. And that should be it. As a member starts spending more time with a host, they start getting feelings for that host. The problem happens that this is just a cyber world. It's not the real world. If the member starts to feel feelings for a host, he has to come to terms that most hosts come here to make money. It's their job. There's no way a member can tell if a host is telling the truth about loving a member back. Maybe the host can be telling the truth or just fulfilling a member's fantasy of being in love. The only way a member can truly know is to take a risk and visit the host. Only then will they both know if they have real feelings of love for each other.

As for the host, I can't criticize her either. There are some members that come here and say the same thing to many hosts of being in love with them. Again, some members come here only for the fantasy. So again there is no way a host can truly know if a member is really in love with them. Some hosts know this, and again there are some hosts that do also fall in love with a particular member only to feel hurt that the member visited a friend's room. So both members and hosts try to fulfill a fantasy world to each other. From what I have seen both members and hosts lie sometimes about being in love. So there is no way to know if a lie or not and no one is to blame. Again my solution, is if a member and host do say they love each other, the only way to prove it is to meet in real life. Until that happens, there is no way to take anything personal that either a host or member says to each other. No need to think it is real, and remember this is a cyber world. It isn't real until you meet in real life and then truly find out.
