I had a cat like that once, she had a thing for chewing wires. She killed several key boards, computer speakers and pointing devices before she tried to bite through my alarm clock wire and got a dose of household current instead of just a couple volts. After that she pretty much left the wires alone. I ended up naming her after how she behaved -- her name was Mischief.

Can someone explain me the logic behind hosts that used to charge $2 for 121 session and now charge $3 for open?

the real problem is 121 is not always private anyways, hosts have multiple rooms on various sites ..... CC needs way to know who this hosts are and not allow them to do 121 unless they close other rooms first. Its not fair for a member to pay extra money to have a hosts attention all to them and they have many other rooms open also.

Well, since you asked. I just checked the 27 hosts on my favorite list who were on line. 3 I removed due to their price increases, most all the others were more or less the same and 3 other actually lowered their prices and I can say now at least one of them will be visited by me much more frequently. Of course your mileage may vary.

In Economics there is what is called an equilibrium price. A price that the member can afford and is willing to pay again and again and a price that a host can charge and make a living. What is the magic number? I would have to say $1.00-1.50 is the magic number. Over that many men will probably pass you by. Regardless of hot you think you are, or what your studio boss tells you you are worth, or what you may have been paid now and then for a video in the past. Find that price and everyone is happy.

i would love to make .50 to 1.00 a min. right now at my job I make .22 a min and that is before taxes are taken out. I love all you girls but only making .22 a min at my job and paying out more than 1.00 just to talk I think is rediculas. yes i know you ony make half on here and cc takes the other half and than those that work at studio they take the other half. even if you charged 1.00 cc gets .50 and your studio gets .25 you are still making more than me and i make over 30,000 a year. I like the thread about the addictions to cc and i have cut my videos basically down to nothing because I was spending so much money. It is he way you compare a chathost's rate per minute that is ridiculous. For example if you work in an office your are paid for the total time you are there including chatting with colleagues, drinking coffee, not just the minutes you are actually at your desk. If there is a slack period and not much in your "in tray" you still get paid. You also probably get some paid holiday and some paid sick leave each year.
Click the the video button of hosts who are on line to see how many are actually in video or ask the hosts you chat with in yahoo. Most hosts who come on line every day like a "normal" job feel they are doing very well if they have video for 50% of the time their session is open.

malcolm all true, but these girls are invariably making much more than persons of the same age and education bracket in their own countries......especially when they are able to weasel "gifts" or "loans" from their Western sugardaddies. good for them, all power to them, but dont take out the violin for them. They are doing quite well and if they use the $ for soemehing productive like and education or business (rather than consumable goods, such as clothes, trips, etc) they will most likely, in the future, be far ahead of their "more ugly or plain" peers.

I was not suggesting that a host on here may not make good earnings in comparison with her peers in other work. I just pointed our that Wvli's comparison with his own job was not correct.

yes i do get paid for my down time to chat with co workers but there are times when i work way more than 40 hours a week which is usually more times that i care to think about, and dont get paid any extra money for the extra time I put in. when you are salary you get paid the same amount wheather you work 30 hours or 90 hours in a weeks time. the comparison i was doing was for a 40 hours week. i was not taking in the extra time I do at work. which would make my min rate less than .22 a min

If you talk with hosts you will find that any who regularly earn $2000 dollars a month just from video are considered to be doing extremely well. Most take home on average less than $1000. A very few may earn $30,000 a year but certainly not those charging $1.00 per minute and working in studios.

Do you really think they are going to tell you what they really take home? Makes it a bit more difficult to ask for $ for school, car, mommy etc. Second WLVI is making $30K in some Western country where the cost of living is probably quite high. 30K in Moldova or Brazil or Romania and you are a 21 year old making more money than most. I repaeat, no need to take out the violins for chathosts, they are often doing quite well considering their ages, education, and considering the national economies they come from.

one last thing, yes i think a ccertain strong minority percentage (30-45%)of girls would decline an ofice job that was not in their field of study that paid 30K for at least one of the following reasons: (1) they would be tied to a 9 to 5 job, and many of these girls enjoy the freedon of working when they want, traveling etc; (2) not in their field administrative work is mind numbing; (3) gone are the chances that a sugar daddy will appear on the horizon in cc and send them lots of money or get them out of their country, its a gamblers attitude...you dont get that with your bi-weekly measley paycheck; (4) they may have to pay taxes..depending on the country; (5) and, some of these girls are as kinky as any guy, are exhibitionists and enjoy exploring their sexual fantasies, more power to them.

I do agree that some are making good money compared to their peers… there is no doubt about that. I have lived in Eastern Europe before, am returning there in less then two months and have many friends currently living there. I know how the wages are, so there is no doubt that some make very good money comparatively speaking. Yes, CC does offer more freedom then a typical job then 9-5, but not all have the luxury of taking that time off either. There are hosts here who are online almost non-stop, not much freedom in that. A 7 day work week, been there done that and never again…. But that is just me personally. Money is a necessity no doubt about it, but life is even more of necessity, family, friends, loved ones, sitting out on the front porch step in the early morning watching the sun rise over the mountains. These are things that get lost when you are working here and another job, sleeping only a few hours a day and working 7 days a week.

cant disagree with you bela70, I'm just pointing out that the usual member posts here that take out the violin for chathosts are often disengenuous...a means to an end where the end is to get in the panties or heart of the chat host. If you or tohers are really concerned about the poor or desitute in the world there are many other places to look and be a help but then again they may not have computers, electricity, a hot bod and a variety of sexual toys.

sure it makes perfect sense. if you are a host and charge an arm and leg for just talking than yes you are going to sit there and wait. if you charge a resonable price than you wont be sitting there and waiting. prime example before i came to cc i was on this other site and this lady charged .99 cent per min where as the other host charged 2 dollars and up. well the host that charged .99 cents there was not a time she was not doing her show were as the girls that charged 2, 3 and sometime 5 dollars a min just sat there sitting at computer screen. but right now i dont go into vid chats because i am saving my money up for a vacation, but here on cc if i go into a vid it will be for one dollar or less unless it is a special girl than i will go in there for more. but this post is mainly for the non adult people that dont strip if you do strip in 1 2 1 in non adult you should move into alittle shy because in little shy most girls dont strip in open

I also know a few host that work out of home and do other things until someone comes into their room, some sleep, some do housework, some study. but they choose to set their prices high because they are in instant action. and i can see charging 2 bucks or more for that.

When I work in Little Shy I normally charge 0.50 or 0.60 for open session which I don't think is bad.

From a members perspective anything over .99 cents a minute is questionable. There are just too many pretty sexy girls under that price on CC. You have to be very special and extremely hot to get most members to pay more. And in non-adult it is a risk. If the host does not deliver you can't complain because she is nonadult. Simple economics. If times are slow you lower your prices. Work as much as you can, meet new members, and hope for the crowds to return.

If they strictly follow CC's philosphy the hosts in notshy and IA should do the same in open video as in one2one. In practce hosts in these categories have to do nude shows in open but some ask the member to go to one to for specific requests such as using toys, anal etc

CC new pricing policy. 121 can now be only 20% higher than open price. Maybe no more rip-off hosts showing a little and promising only full show in 121 at greatly inflated price. btw, this is against CC host rules. So, now, to earn mega bucks 121, hosts will have to saet very high open price. As previously stated, anything over $1.50 121 is high, especially when there are many beautiful girls put on a very good show for less. I think CC has finally listened to customer complaints. After all, it is our bread that keeps them in cake.
