Maybe this member does not understand the "star" system? He might need to have it explained to him calmly and how it affects your rating. If he understands it, and if his one star pulls your rating down so much it makes you lose prvts, and you are positive his one star rating is causing you to lose prvts, more than his prvts pay you, then block him and leave him blocked. But be sure his prvts are not worth the taking and his one star rating affects you more than he makes you, b4 you block him, ratings are ok but I do nto think most members use them to decide if they take you prvt. It is more about your photos gallery, and behavior in that first prvt that brings members back , not so much the stars.

Dear you should never need to have to be afraid of members. If you find one who is harassing you, following you and making you feel uncomfortable and you have done all you can to dissuade him ( and it sounds like you have) then you should report the matter to CC. Every member has to read and agree to terms and conditions when they sign up to CC and one of those specifically precludes harassment of hosts. CC do and so should you take this very seriously. There are all sorts of members on here and some are just plain crazy. Do not suffer dear. Have faith in yourself and your own right to privacy and peace of mind.

The whole concept of draining water reversing direction at the equator is a myth. The phenomena often related to the claim is know as the "Coriolis Effect" which is the influence of the earths rotation on moving bodies such as storms, ie: hurricanes. Cheers

I'm sorry, but the "whole concept" isn't a myth. It may be small, but the Coriolis Effect does indeed partially affect the direction of draining water. Other conditions usually exert much higher influence, sure, but to completely negate any influence of the Coriolis Effect at all is simply wrong.

While you are correct in mentioning the "Coriolis Effect" might have influence on the vortex of draining water it most assuredly does not automatically do so, and was not the point of my post. The point was; draining water does not automatically reverse direction at the equator. Hence, the concept is a myth.
The mention of the "Coriolis Effect" was secondary to the point and referred to only as a probable basis for the misconception. I did not preclude the possibility of there perhaps being some influence.

Just had to find that out - so I'm just back from my travels.
I decided to go to Ecuador to test the effect because Kenya has wild animals that like to eat people and Uganda and its neighbouring countries could have have wild people who would probably like to machete me.
After a 14 hour journey I landed in Quito in Ecuador, where I hired 2 guides and, as I don't like to be unprepared, 4 donkeys to carry my extensive supplies which I mostly managed to get locally but some other items had to be ordered in from the US, adding a few days wait.
Eventually we were ready and, after 3 days of slow progress (due largely to a bout of dysentery and one of the female donkeys being in season causing the male donkey to mount her and shed his load several times), we found ourselves on the South Slope of Volcán Cayambe where, after careful checking with my trusty Sat Nav, I made sure we were positioned exactly on the equator and we set up camp.
At noon on a nice calm day I got out the 20 litres of water I had set aside and a flat lollipop stick to float in it and watch any rotational effect...... but imagine my disbelief when I went to the supply tent and discovered I couldn't carry out the experiment.... I'd only gone and packed everything but the kitchen sink .....

Age Old Question
The reason for asking my question is I saw a profile of a girl I used to chat with on another site. In her profile she states she is 20. The reality is she is 30. Apparently she ages in reverse dog years.
Anyhow, my question is' How important is it to a member the age of the host? I personally choice who I visit based on looks and or conversational skills. It depends if I am looking for a show and or chat. Age in general is not one of my criterias.

You may be new to the site, or perhaps not a regular reader of the forums, but this is a topic almost weekly: the last thread is only about 2 pages down. The concensus of opinion is always the same: that age is not really a decisive factor at all for the members, but many host's continue to believe that it may be.
