RE: To Charlotte4U

Considering your english I assume you are another host. For your own benefit you should have said: "stop promoting" not "promotion" ;)

1. I just state my opinion, if it would've been about promoting I would advertise pics, videos, rates and other host related stuff, which I don't.
2. Even if it would've been promotion, what do you care? Do you think I make thousands of dolars because I post here? Come on girl, get serious.
3. If you still don't believe what I say, why don't you start promoting yourself? Post here whatever you wish, be "brave" enough to show your screen name and see what happends next.

This being said, good luck and have fun! And if you don't like something, then just skip it, nobody forces you to read :P

Failed Marketing Strategy

Ok, so my strategy to boost host's viewers failed miserably. My new plan was to market a new type of tea. Made from a host's soiled panties and boiling them in hot water and selling it to her members so they can drink the ensuing tea (or broth) while they watched her. So was this a great idea or what?

There in your arms I'm so tranquillo
I know it's right, no pecadillo

Refrain: Can you? Can you?

Is this the way to Amarillo

dreaming dreams of Amarillo

I've been weeping like a willow
crying over Amarillo

Cowboy

A successful rancher died and left everything to his devoted wife. She was determined to keep the ranch, but knew very little about ranching, so she placed an ad in the newspaper for a ranch hand. Two cowboys applied for the job. One was gay and the other a drunk.
She thought long and hard about it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy, figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk.
He proved to be a hard worker who put in long hours every day and knew a lot about ranching. For weeks, the two of them worked hard and the ranch was doing very well.
Then one day, the rancher's widow said "You have done a really good job, and the ranch looks great. You should go into town and kick up your heels." The hired hand readily agreed and went into town on Saturday night.
He returned around 2:30am and, upon entering the living room, he found the rancher's widow sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine, waiting for him.
She quietly called him over to her. "Unbutton my blouse and take it off," she said. Trembling, he did as she directed.
"Now take off my boots." He did as she asked, ever so slowly.
"Now take off my socks." He removed each gently and placed them neatly by her boots.
"Now take off my skirt." He slowly unbuttoned it, constantly watching her eyes in the fire light.
"Now take off my bra." Again, with trembling hands, he did as he was told and dropped it to the floor.
Then she looked at him and said: "If you ever wear my clothes into town again, you're fired!"

Lol! Good One Cowboy! Here's Another

I love jokes like that, i.e with endings that are completely unexpected. Here's another joke. I hope you like it. I posted it about a week ago, but I'm not sure if many people saw it:

There's this guy who lives alone in a prairie house in a desolate area of the Great Plains. He has lived a solitary life there for years. One day he is sitting on his porch and a guy pulls up in a truck. He looks at the man sitting on the porch and says, "Howdy neighbor!"

The man on the porch looks at him suspiciously and replies, "Neighbor? I didn't reckon I had any neighbors."

With a friendly reassuring smile, the man answered, "Yeah, neighbor, you see that ridge down yonder? Well, I live just beyond that ridge. And as a matter of fact neighbor, I'm havin' a party this Saturday and I'd be much obliged if you came!"

Now intrigued, the prairie dweller asks, "Oh yeah? What kinda party is it gonna be?"

"Well neighbor, there's gonna be some drinkin'; there's gonna be some fuckin' and there's gonna be some card playin'"

Finally won over, the solitary man responds, "Sounds good to me. What should I wear?"

"You can wear anything you want," the man said with an impish smile, "because it's only gonna be you and me!"

Mulholland Drive

See we have similar tastes in film and women. Mulholland Drive is a David Lynch film, right? Lynch has an extraordinary eye and offbeat sensibility that does not fit into the ready-made Hollywood categories, all of which require bad writing along with at least one other element, be it inanity, maudlin sentimentality or gratuitous violence.

I would not choose Mullholland Dr. as my "favorite," but it is a good one. The first Lynch film I saw was "Blue Velvet." As with all his films, it stands out in the way he presents the disturbingly ordinary. The writing, acting and cinematography are so well thought out as a whole that he captures a certain essence like few others.

Reply

RE: Mulholland Drive

Hey !! At last, a David Lynch fan !!! I agree that Blue Velvet was a great movie, but for me Mulholland Drive was Lynch's best, so far !! What drives me crazy is that people keep saying to me " I could not understand it ".
I tell them watch it again and pay very close attention to the first 15 minutes and to the last 20 minutes. THINK ABOUT IT !!!!!!!
I thought that Naomi Watts and Laura Elana Harring were just superb. By the way, are you a guest or host ??

RE: movie

That's a tough question. It really depends on the genre. Even in the same genre it's tough to pick just one. However, in Film Noir I can say hands down that my favorite is "The Big Sleep" (1946), starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. It was directed by Howard Hawks and is based on a Raymond Chandler novel, The screenplay was written by Nobel Laureate William Faulkner! This is Film Noir at its best. Great writing. Great acting. Lots of twists and turns.

Reply

RE: movie

Prepare yourself pfff, I'm going to be pretentious again! :-) My favourite film is Brief Encounter. So erotic because it is so restrained. I exchanged emails once with a NYC woman once where we talked like the housewife and doctor in the film who have a doomed love affair. Eventually, she came to see me. We met under the clock in Waterloo Station, both wearing red carnations to recognise each other. She came back home with me for dinner...etc etc.

Just so my other friend here 'me' doesn't get too upset, we were of a similar age. Well, ok, I was 25 years older - wtf! ;-)

P.S. Melomane, really like your posts.

Request for Chambers Conference

Lol Bill ! You are more confused than I thought :) You're the plaintiff guy...and apparently judge and jury too!

Melomane: Your Honor, may we approach the bench?

Judge: Yes counsel

Melomane: Your Honor, might we adjourn for a brief conference in chambers? I'm confident Mr. Collins and I can work this out without taking up more of the Court's valuable time.

Judge: (To counsel): very well. (For the record): This court will adjourn
for 15 minutes.

(Now in Chambers)

Judge: Gentlemen?

Melomane: Your Honor, I am appealing to Mr. Collins to withdraw his petition. I have pointed out the specific language of my post to Mr. Collins and though he has not yet agreed, I told him that I am prepared to stipulate that he may withdraw the petition "without prejudice," thus retaining his right to return to the Court for appeal.

Judge: Mr. Collins?

Reply

RE: movie

Bill, I don't care to engage in a needless and tedious exchange over what I said, but your persistence compels me to inform you that Bobo is still right. All you need to do is read what I wrote. You misquote me. This is what I REALLY said:

"Even in the same genre it's tough to pick just one. However, in Film Noir I can say hands down that my favorite is "The Big Sleep" (1946)."

"However, in Film Noir.." is the operative phrase. I Hope that settles it and, if you haven't seen the film, check it out. It's great.

All the best!

P.S. Is your name here an allusion to the poet, Billy Collins?

Reply

RE: movie

i wrote word for word what you wrote,so it can't be a misquote. there were no exceptions included in that statement.if now,as you claim, that film noir is an exception then your first statement now becomes incorrect .

Reply

RE: movie

Bill, You did indeed misquote me in the first of two consecutive posts, but corrected yourself in the second:

06 Apr 2007: 'even in the same genre it’s hard to make a choice"

07 Apr 2007: 'even in the same genre it's hard to pick just one.'

Just to clarify my position, the misquote above is not the salient point. I should have said you "misinterpreted" me. The truth of my argument hinges on the "However" that follows the above. You are right, in that genre I am making an exception to the general truth of the statement. But you are wrong to claim that an exception invalidates the truth of the general statement. You cannot isolate one sentence in a narrative argument. The truth of the argument must be evaluated in the entire context in which it appears. What's more, the sentence beginning with "However" qualifies the preceding sentence so that it remains true. You are incorrectly arguing that the stated exception invalidates the truth to which it is only an exception. If I say, for example, "The weather in June is generally sunny and warm. However, it does rain on occasion," it does not follow that because I said it rains occasionally that the first part of the statement is invalid.

Finally, if I have not fully persuaded you of your error, consider the logical import of the specific words I used. I said, "...it's HARD to pick just one." I did not say it was impossible.

Hi, it's me again, the Mulholland Drive guy. I also am a great fan of film noir. The Big Sleep was a great movie. I've read all Raymond Chandler's book and seen all the movies made from them. Farewell My Lovely was one of the best. As regards other film noir movies have you seen the 1940s version of The Killers with Burt Lancaster and Ave Gardner ? My favourite firm noir is Out of the Past ( called Build My Gallows High in the UK) the 1940s version with Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer (what a woman !!!). It looks as though we have the same taste in movies. Cheers !!!! Alan

happy easter & Happy Spring everybody

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said,
"Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. "

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and
the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round
table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled
delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around
the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were
holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms
and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a
spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could
not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the
sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell."

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same
as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of
stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped
with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well
nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, "I don't
understand."

"It is simple" said the Lord, "it requires but one skill. You see, they
have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of
themselves." When Jesus died on the cross he was thinking of you! If
you are one of the 7% who will stand up for him, forward this with the
title "7%".

93% of people won't forward this.

For some of the most obese, not only can't they tie their own shoes, hey, they can't eve SEE them! :) Like another of my favorite comedians, the late Rodney Dangerfield, said, "Boy, I have to loose a little weight. The other day I got my shoes shined. I had to take the guy's word for it." lol!

I guarantee this music will add just the right touch to propel you to critical success. You'll be at the Bolshoi Theatre in no time! (Btw, I won't be able to attend.)

Theatre of the Absurd

Lol! This entire thread is rather funny. The dialogue could be a poor man's Beckett!

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

funny you say that, I was thinking of Pinter :-)

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

oh no you were not. you pretentious wanker :)

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

Just curious, how do you know what he (she) was thinking? And what makes him (her) "pretentious?" The mention of a playwright? In fact, there is nothing in the comment that would cause any reasonble person to arrive at that conclusion, but your gratuitous insult makes it clear that you are presumptuous.

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

oh, please.
in a thread whose theme is obviously absurdity, what but ostentation would possess a person to break that theme just to name-drop some hoighty-toighty literary figure?

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

"...in a thread whose theme is obviously absurdity..." pff

You have still not made your case. Since Harold Pinter is one of the original voices of the Theatre of the Absurd, it is absurd indeed for you to suggest ally has broken the theme. You broke the theme with your baseless assertions and personal attack on the man.

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

right, so you see no difference between engaging in absurdity and commenting on it then...christ, for a guy who seems to relish every single opportunity to flaunt his education, i'd think you'd be at least a tiny bit more cautious of blurting out something that would paint you as pretty damned obtuse.

by the way, thanks for the reply and all... and if you really would rather not answer the question i posed directly to you, that's cool. but there's one thing i just gotta know... why is it that my one jab at ally194 was enough of a 'gratuitous insult' that you just had to call me on it? seriously, with the way you ride and deride one particular poster's ass here, didn't it cross your mind that i could easily come back and point directly to that as evidence that you're not exactly one who should be talking when it comes to bitching about people baselessly ripping on others?

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

"what but ostentation would possess a person to break that theme"

dunno mate, you just did it with your pious lack of humour, so you tell me - lighten up, it's meant to be fun here, anything goes, move on............;-)

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

"anything goes"

if that's your opinion, then what's your problem, friend?

really now, ain't quoting fun?!

if you're going to quote someone, quote him in full... don't selectively lop-off portions of a person's words just so you can mischaracterize what that person actually said.
my question wasn't only about breaking the running motif, it was about breaking it "....just to name-drop some hoighty-toighty literary figure".
this may come as a shocker, but read a certain kinda peculiar way, one might even have taken that to be more a criticism of a certain person's apparent need to interject evidence of his super, brainier-than-thou head at every possible chance.
if his reply and yours were made just to dish out lollies and thank everyone for the laughs, do you really think i would have replied as i did?

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

so you mean it wasn't just a matter of you dropping a name from your reading list to nudge-nduge-wink-wink melomane that you got his literary reference then?

i guess you were, what, just setting-up a folow-up so that you could share with everyone that you have a personal relationship with 'harold'?

wow, i'm so sorry. i didn't realize.... really, that's just about the most humble and unpretentious thing ever... apologies, mate.

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

I've read a bit of Beckett and Ionescu, but never Pinter . I know Pinter is from that school. The three are a kind of troika, aren't they? Is there a Pinter title you'd recommend?

Reply

RE: Theatre of the Absurd

Hmm Melomane, I went to school with him, like him for his humour and integrity. He had a cerebral approach to playwriting which apparently doesn't appeal to our friend pfff; Pinter is not 'hoighty-toighty' at all,the opposite in fact but has rarely appealed to the popular taste. The Birthday Party is my favourite.

Anyway, let's get back to tits and bums before we antagonise pfff further. :-)

Lol! :) Fair enough "that wud..." Just make them good ones. You're only batting about .300 now. That's good in baseball, but not the best average here. Just aim a little higher dude. You're bound to improve. This one, for example, is pretty good, although it's almost a rhetorical question because the kinds of people that would do that sort of thing usually don't admit they would. Only Nasty Bitch said she would, but then again her admission helps her to demonstrate that she is true to her name! lol!

My answer? No, I wouldn't do it, nor would anyone that values friendship.

Baa Humbuggery

Lol! I wouldn't bleat too loud there, Thingy. It might attract the sort of attention you are only accustomed to giving, not receiving. Damn! Turn around! There's a guy approaching you from behind!! I guess he thought you said, "Hmmm, bugger me."

Thingy, I hope you do not fare from that kingdom where it is said, "The men are men and the sheep are afraid?" It is said of this kingdom that its residents engage in such wanton behavior that it would make the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah blush. Why not long ago I heard a man of the cloth give a moving sermon about the sins of the flesh and he spoke of this kingdom. He told us that there is one group of men there who are musicians and that they regularly go about the fields performing Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" just to lure these poor sheep to them for their lust-filled desires; and another group who wander the fields reciting Psalm 23 (The Lord is My Shepherd) not in praise of the almighty, but to lure these innocent sheep for their sinful pleasures.

Do not despair Thingy. You can be saved from your animal lust. Sheep are forgiving and I'm sure one of the kind hearted women here would help wean you off the bleating herd that you have known (as long as you wash your dick first), and help you return to the warmth of the...mmm... human 'fold.'

If Ebenezer Scrooge could be cured of "hum buggery," surely there is hope for you! :) Return to the bosom of---hey your choice---so that we might deliver the good news to the sheep! Bon courage. Cheers!

RE: Boys, how do u usually searching for a host?

I usally check my favorites 1st then I go to "who's on line now", I decide which category I feel like going into depending on my mood and how much money I spent this month (horny=Instant Action, talkative = little shy)

Reply

RE: Boys, how do u usually searching for a host?

Now I don't search but when I did I scrolled very quickly down from top to bottom then suddenly a photo grabbed my attention. I checked her price, if above my budget, I continued searching for another gut reaction. I met my all time favourites/favorites (wtf), now friends, that way.

Category was very important - just a physical show boring for me so non-adult for long term friendships, little shy for maybe just a passing thrill. Oh, women only - thank you DM!

Reply

RE: Boys, how do u usually searching for a host?

i look in fav first ..

then look at whos online

usualy shy first , then not shy , then IA.. sometimes look on non adult ..
a few not shy there too lol.. and some real nice fun girls too ( as well as some very dull ones .. up there own .........)
if i see any pics that look stylish. / interetesting / good quality / inovative ,, then i open their pages in another tab..

I look thro untill i jhave open about 10 tabs

then look at each page ..
and look at a sample of pics ..

intersting if a host has a hsitory of pics .. can see how she developed..

then short list and also check prices..

drop any over 2$

often find a few real gems /- expecting a 2$ + price and fund maybe 0.7 or 0.9 wow .. then see if they are busy..

thats what i do...

Mature Women Exam

I'm glad to see so many are now thinking about maturity. OK if all minds are cleared now. First I want to express this was a study and not all my theory, because I'm not a young man anymore and I can't speak about ALL young men, but if I was a young man, I sure would give it a lot of thought, because when I was young I had that puppy love for mature women, my school teacher's especially.OK think whatever you want to think it's OK, I'm just glad to see a lot more people thinking about Mature Women for a change and quit calling these women on here over 30 years old, older host and I have
nothing against Young Women Host on here, they are cool too and have their own special ways on pleasing their man and doing the things that are best for them. This was a study by 31,000 young students and faculity members at a college and it's got nothing to do with prejudices or sterotyping all women or men. When are you going to understand that point. It's like a lot of people here on CC have their own personal studies and comments and that is your right and I respect you for that,, heck I even seem some good comments about your thoughts, that I bet this college would like to see your thoughts and theroies, cool. So do you see these 31,000 students calling you prejudices or sterotyping all women and men on this study. If you remember I told you that there was also a study completed about younger women preferred older men,, another study on women and men of the same age or within their ages preferring each other on what they see and feel from their minds.
So lets put the shoe on your foot now, how many men here on cc are over 30 years old. I'm talking about you men that are here chatting and wanting a younger woman. I don't think I am talking about all of you, but especially after reading your comments on the study, I can see some of you preferred younger woman, just like these 31,000 students and faculity thinking what they want. Again I'm expressing myself I'm not saying ALL people, get that straight before you start twisting all your little theory about me trying to say I know it all about women. I be the first admit and promise you that I don't know about all women and wont be the last to admit to that, but I know when I find
the right woman either young or old it will be our (the woman and man) theory together that we have respect, trust, love and sharing our life together to bring our relationship together and still have each other respecting each other rights, thoughts and theories during
life together and I don't think I need a survey for that. But if the younger generaltion want to have their survey in school for a study--that's cool, I would be glad to participate in it to give my opinion, just like you are giving your opinion. It's like they say some older men with a younger woman, so its the same about some younger man wanting a older woman (it's their right) did you notice I didn't say ALL.
This study wasn't conducted about each individual here at CC, meaning host or members or young and old, but it seems it should be, since some are worried about what other people in the world are saying and thinking about the younger vs. older generation gap- Now the exam has been giving, feel free to state your comments--that's cool.

RE: Mature Women Exam

do not take this exam so personal, its does not reflect and represnt
all personal feelings and thoughts (notice I said not ALL) -and I got that much out of this study, along with a few of my own personal feelings about a younger man wanting a older woman.. I got married when I was 19 to a 35 year old woman, had 30 great years with her, until she pass on, and now I'm 49 and love a 23 year old woman.

Reply

RE: Mature Women Exam

Interesting chaser. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that most women are much more flexible about age difference than most men, whether younger or older partners. A host here gets called too old by some men who are much younger than her, but she is younger than my daughter - different perspectives of course. Old men who can only be attracted to girls and very young women are both sad and creepy.

I keep waiting for women of 23 up to say late 40s to lose interest in me. It hasn't happened yet. Not just me, other men my age and even much older, e.g. Sean Connery; he's far older than me but I'd be happy with half his sex appeal for women of all ages.

I'm attracted to the person not their age. A young physically 'beautiful' woman can be incredibly dull to be with. A much older woman can be vibrant with sex appeal. Same with men.

RE: Mature Women Exam

You know, chase, another thing with the surveys, is that you can't really be flexible, you have to give an answer, or life ain't just black & white, there's some gray, and you can't put that in surveys. That's why I don't see them accurate, it depends on the woman,.. and on the man. Take two young guys and the same mature woman. I could bet they won't agree about how great she is, even if they're both into mature women..

Bah, I'm hungry and sleepy, don't know how much sense I'm making..
