Honestly speaking I don't like the idea.I wouldn't like someone to count his money while he is with me.I hoped most of viewers come here to relax, to forget abotu troubles, etc.I think it can be a big turn off for his relaxation when he sees how the minutes, seconds are going and how much of his $ has flown away.

False... at every moment, hosts can know how much you have spend and how much she had earned sinds the begining of the session... one day, I asked a host to advise me when I reach the 100$ and she does it without problem...:)

I am sorry to burst your bubble Gortie, but most members have been secretly watching the clock and trying to keep track of how much they have spent in during video with a host since payed video chat was invented.... they been doing that it in their heads without the counter all along and it can be a major distraction which prevents them from fully relaxing and enjoying their time with the host. however if the member could simply click a button every now and then and see how much he has spend already in video he wouldn't have to worry about trying to keep track of it in is head and he could just relax and be more involved in the video. if you care about your members and if it is your goal to help a member relax and forget about his troubles, then i am sure you would also like to help members avoid finding new troubles... such as exceeding their credit limit on their credit cards in video. i think most hosts would agree that it would be better for them financially in the long run, if a member came in regularly, say once a week, relaxed and spent maybe $50 each time in their video, rather than just coming in one time spending a few hundred dollars and then never returning again because he exceeded his credit limit and quit CC.
so really the counter idea is nothing new... just suggesting it be available on the screen rather than it having to be inside the member's head.... so we can relax more.

A Chilean graduate student at the University of Missouri-St. Louis has been detained in Russia for more than two months after customs officials found several Soviet medals and currency she bought from a street vendor.
Roxana Contreras, 29, faces up to seven years in prison, her supporters say. She "acquired USSR state honors illegally" and attempted to export them, according to Russian court documents.
Supporters in the United States say the physics student was visiting friends in the southern city of Voronezh and probably did not realize she was doing anything wrong when she bought the six military medals, currency and coins for $66 (€49) and tried to bring them on the plane home with her.
"They were being sold by a street vendor, so she had no idea they were not supposed to be taken out of the country," said Sonya Bahar, the director of the Center for Neurodynamics at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Rep. Todd Akin, who represents Missouri in Congress, has written to Russian Ambassador Yuri Ushakov inquiring about the case.

A rather sad and unfortunate event. I would have to wonder though if there might not be more to the detention than just the medals. These can be bought in many places and ordered form catalogs as well.. Doesn't make much sense to create an international incident over what has been reported. I do wish for her a safe return home.

I think the speculation of exactly what medals were involved may have hit the nail on the head. Also how they were being treated could be an issue, Using an example from another country (so I'm not picking on Russia) in the US you can often buy medals in pawn shops as collectables, the rarer the medal, the higher the price. Mostly you're free to do with them as you please, but it's a crime to wear certain ones, such as the congessional medal of honor, if you're not the person it was awarded too. This has gone as far so that in movies, such as Forest Gump where Tom Hanks where one, the medal is mock up made to look similar but not identical to the real medal of honor.

But since she was supposed to be familiar with the situation in Russia she should know the black market history and avoid dealing with strangers on the street. That was her fault.

A Canadian woman was on holidays and was caught
taking pictures at a London subway station.
Her camera was taken. She will not be able to return again to the
UK and is probably on a list of suspected terrorist.
Although the woman meant no harm, that does not matter!
When you go to another country, you are a guest there.
It is your responsibility to know what is acceptable before you
travel.

They are especially helpful for the last couple of kilometres to a new address in a town you haven't been before. I have used mine in UK, Europe and Canada. It may not always pick the best route but it does get me to my destination. If you don't like the nagging you can turn the sound off.

A carpet installer decides to take a cigarette break after completing
the installation in the first of several rooms he has to do. Finding them
missing from his pocket he begins searching, only to notice a small lump in

I had a brilliant time in Russia. Drove from UK, had no hassle, did not need to bribe ANYBODY and they put themselves out to find an English speaker or just waved me through with a smile. Didn't see any bears or wolves, either.

The one time that I made a trip like that, I took all types of precautions. One of these was that I made sure that I had A LOT of friends in the country at issue before I went to visit someone as more than just a friend. I didn't even have time to visit all the people that I wanted to see since there were so many. In such situations, whether it as just a friend or as more than a friend, you need to do your best to make sure that you will at least have one or two people that you can rely on. You never know what some hosts are really about, or viewers for that matter, so you need to have a plan b. I made sure that I had plan a, b, c, d, e, f, and g and took all kinds of precautions in case I lost my passport, money, traveler's checks, credit cards, et cetera. Other than being physically assulted, I had all of my bases covered, and I did my best to prevent that too.
