I just ordered an iMAC. It can work here? I mean can I log on and see a host on cam? I'm not talking about 2 way video, just me seeing the host. How does it work?

I would think the writer of the topic was utilizing his, the gender assumed, experience in composing a post which dealt directly with those experiences. While it may have been slightly over the top on sentiment, I found it to be well written and rather refreshing. It is Interesting, however, you should mention the words "pretentious" and "crap" in the same sentence. One would seem to describe your demeanor toward others and the other your primary composition . I have to say that over the 7 years I've been a member and reading the boards, that the bitching posts outnumber the insightfull ones by a wide margin. And I do agree that there is great diversity in the hosts and that in addtition to above average looks, there is also above average intelligence. I usually try to avoid responding to these type of posts because they tend to end up in a war of insult-slinging and frivolous name calling that serves no purpose whatsoever. Unfortunately, I just can't hold my tongue on this one. Perhaps it's a result of having just read several of your other heartwarming posts. At any rate, in my "normal fucking life", I do my best to either prevent or change the things that regularly annoy me. In your case, it appears that having simultaneous multiple viewers annoys you tremendously. Might I suggest a few remedies to this situation? If it is possible, could you make your 1-2-1 price the same as your open video price? I would think that then your viewers would choose to visit you in 1-2-1 nearly every time and your simultaneous viewer aggravation would be reduced dramatically. If that price structure conflicts with CC's rules for 1-2-1 rates, there used to be an option here for a host to offer a private session, available to a viewer by invitation (and with the password protection of your choice) only. One of those two solutions should keep us from irritating you so badly. Believe me, horse-woman, if you don't need us pesky viewers and our "fucking normal lives", we can move on and find a more rewarding way to spend our money on a moment's notice. I don't have any idea for whom you work, but at the company I own, I and all those who work for me, "check our attitudes" at the door before we communicate with our valued customers. Our precious patrons are what puts the food on our tables.

The loneliness that hosts express is the cyber-loneliness of sitting at work (the studio or even at home) waiting for customers (viewers). When they say they have no friends, they mean they have no friends at the studio during work hours. They are not talking of true social loneliness of no one to go to the cafe or disco with and they are certainly not talking of sexual loneliness as they get hit on as much as you would imagine any hot girl gets hit on.

I remember one host in my early days of chatsite membership who told me she had only two friends in the world, one in Holland and me. Then she mentioned spending the weekend with friends at the beach.

The fact that you would gladly have given her the $700 simply in exchange for free video doesn't seem to have occured to her as she is simply a "taker" and not even a cyber-friend. I am a viewer and you're right it isn't my problem as I never send money and never will but that does not mean that I can't have an opinion.What scam?The host asked for money for a pc to work at home and bought a pc to work at home.OP says he expected nothing in return and that's exactly what he got.Both parties fulfilled their obligations under the agreement.

If she can't understand the value of the $700 and at least give him the courtesy of a thank you and some free video time then she is an inconsiderate child, if not a scum-sucking bitch.

A gift/loan of such an amount deserves some simple courtesies. If I were her personal counselor I would find out how obsessive he truly was and if he was merely annoying I'd suggest a "repayment" scheme of 1/2 hour free video for a month. She is a professional and he did make a most significant contribution to her financial benefit.

Just some comments :
1) Scammers are from all countries. Sure, they are some countries strongly represented here on CC, where it's a well known speciality to scam pleople, but I will not say which countries... or my comments will be censured (like some comments on this post...refering about hosts countries :( )
2) Scam scenarios are changing : first, they were asking money to pay rent or medicine. After, they didn't ask for money... but just tell to viewer they are not good, sick, or mother was sick, and they can't afford for medicine... and some "sensitive" and often "honest" viewers fall in the trap and send her money :(
3) Now, in some countries, it's a real "business", organized around (or by ???) some studios : when a host meet a "depressive" or "naive" or "too kind" viewer, the host (and her boss or pimp) build a new scenario. They never ask for money... but use the "sensibility" or "feelings" of some viewers to have money...
4) An "honest" host told me one day that, in her studio, she has a daily meeting with her boss... to talk about some viewers..., and to build a strategy to pick them more money...
5) Some strategy was so try to build a "friend" relationship (or more...) with the viewer, give them messenger ID..., talk or do some "free" show on messenger... (it's a kind of investment...:) )...and when the relation is strong enough... begin to talk about hosts problems (rent, disease, family problems...)
6) The strategy of the host who need a new PC or who want a new PC to work from home is a well known strategy, cause they know that viewers are sensitive about a girl working for a "boss" in a studio. The host will earn more money if she don't work for a boss anymore. But often, they are still working for the same "boss"... cause in studios, the hosts screenname are property of the boss studio :( (...and in some countries, where you can't open a new account on CC, girls need to pay or rent for a screen name...)

About scammers on CC, we need to be cautious, but if CC don't take some decisions in regards with those professionnal scammers... at leats they could advise new viewers about possible "scam scenarios" and insist on never sending money to any host.

Also, if it's great to talk with a host on messenger... she know why she give you her ID messenger : all talks on CC are recorded... and they could have penalties (or be banned for a while) if they talk about or ask "money" on CC... :)

My conclusion is that CC is an entertainment site... and is not a dating site !!!
And such category like "Make new Friends" or "Marriage" are here just for "fun" and not really to meet "friends"!!!
Don't never try to find a real "friend" or a "wife" in such category, none in other category!!!
If "real friendship" or "love" can happend on CC... it's exception...
