Has anyone else had issues with this?
CamContacts Gifts are a great way to show your appreciation to your favorite chathosts. I sent a host 100USD but she only got 60USD....

yup, sucks, CC takes their share. on the one hand, i think it's shitty. After all, i'm giving it to the HOST not to CC. On the other hand, it IS CC's platform, their company, their policy. I suppose they're within their rights to take their share, but I still feel that's it's shitty.

Be assured they read and see all. The girls who work for a studio get a double tap. So no there is very little justice involved. Maybe they will answer you back and explain the error.

i don't see what is the injustice. CC provides the platform, the marketing, the servers, the staff to handle billing, technology, administration, etc., etc., etc. not to mention the customers; the studio provides the work environment, the equipment Why should CC and studio not get their share? They don't provide these things for free. They have to pay for these things that they provide. And to the one who said they don't see it stated anywhere... well, I don't see it stated anywhere that hosts earn only a % of what is paid by the customer and the other % goes to CC. However, the idea of a "gift" does imply that it is for the host, not for company.

That's a pretty healthy"haircut". I expected they skimmed something but 40% ? They need to disclose this up front to be fair and transparent.

well every site takes a cut; in that way cc is great cause for video chat u girl gets 50% and from gift 60%; on other sites girls get 30% for video and 30% from gift; sad but true; and i have to say, for me its not about % but the appreciation that gift represents; Im happy like a lil kid if i get one no matter how big or small it is; and yet i never thought i will get any gift when cc implemented it!

I can't speak for "guys," but I realized right away CC would take a percentage; the question was how much. But I agree there are connections here that go beyond privates and sessions, and yes sometimes a gift is a worthwhile token of appreciation. Not everyone appreciates it the way you do (Sandra, Happy, Wendy, Angelou).

guys, on every site they take this %, for gifts and tips, coz they pay % as well with their bank. if you dont like the option, spend in PVT this money instead for your fav chathost etc.

I am still unsure about it all, but it seems we are in love I guess next step will be try and meet and see what happens. There are a lot of obstacles to overcome such as a big age gap and also we live far from one another. I guess I just was unsure of how to proceed. And she probably is feeling the same way too.

Extracting from CC rules, KW wrote "It is an offence to use the CamContacts Network payment Network for purposes of meeting any viewer, or traveling for the purpose of meeting any viewer." That being the case, a host has an incentive to stay away from any suggestion of meeting a member while in a CC session. Words can be misinterpreted. A member could complain about being solicited. Why risk a host's livelihood? That's the point... it's not about "personal freedoms": it's about adhering to the workplace rules.

This whole conversation is turning me on! ;) Hosts can have genuine feelings, but to get someone (guy or girl) to actually travel, commit, not have second thoughts, not meet someone down the street who it's simply easier to date...is pretty damn hard. That being said "All Roads Lead to Rome"...every love story writes itself and anything is possible in this world. Well, thank you all for the comments and sincere thoughts. Today is my birthday and like all birthdays it is a time for some reflection. I guess all I know how this woman makes me feel and how she lifts me higher and higher in a way I have never felt before. Whether it is illusion or real it feels real to me. It's been two years since I met her and I love her more each time we meet and intimacy is just a pat of it. I guess only time will tell. Thank you all..

"Each time we meet" -- do you mean in person, or online? I would suggest until you meet in real life, you cannot really determine the genuiness of the relationship, and whether there is any real basis to it. If you've only been meeting online, don't forget, she's being paid for you to meet with her and for her to make you feel good. I think many of us have probably felt what you are feeling and have found ourselves into the illusion of a relationship. I know from personal experience that it's easy to lose oneself in a one-sided relationship, thinking there is something more than there is. These ladies are like actresses: they are here doing a job to make a living; they look their best, they're beautiful, they're fun to be with -- and the lonely or unfulfilled heart can be taken in by the "show" and quite convinced they are "in love." I'm not saying they are intentionally deceiving, because i think most are not, but it's easy to think there is more than there really is. Just be sure and guard your heart, and look at things realistically.

No, I would say it's more lust then love. Sure, you can develop emotional feelings but remember, the chances of you actually meeting the hostess are very slim and you don't really know their personal situation. Spending time chatting/getting to know the host, finding things in common, getting to know one another is fantastic but it's better to keep it as more of a good friendship. However, if you do connect with a host on a personal level, you meet up and decide to take it further then I wish you the all the best!
